What our guests say

“I was in Playa Grande to guest teach yoga on my friend’s fitness retreat. Rip Jack hosted our group and yoga practices. Our retreat ran from a Monday evening to early Saturday morning. The rooms are super clean, and have comfy beds. They are eco-friendly in the sense that they don’t have travel size b ottles of toiletries, instead they have large pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash; all made locally. The food was absolutely amazing. I tried a different dish at each meal and loved every single one. I’d highly recommend the tuna tower, as an appetizer or meal, and the hot garlic shrimp. And of course, a margarita on the rocks. They also have live music in the restaurant every week. Such a cool vibe. The yoga space was beautiful. They provide mats and all other props you could need. Being able to teach in that space was such a privilege. Overall the inn is pretty quiet. The only traffic on the street is surfers. You will hear wildlife, mostly birds, in the early morning hours. They also have hammocks hanging all around the property. And you’re literally steps away from the beach. Because the property is close to a turtle sanctuary, there aren’t many other businesses close by. The beach is pretty secluded and every evening, people gather to watch the sunset. It’s a perfect spot.”

“This is a not just a surfer’s dream spot, it is also a great place to just relax, take a few yoga classes, walk on the beach or book an all day tour. The rooms are clean and comfortable with good mattress and linens. The staff is excellent and so friendly, espically to those traveling alone. If you are wanting all the bells and whistles, go to the Marriott, but if you are wanting a warm and inviting place to call home for the week, this is it. I loved my yoga instructor, Stacey. She made me feel I could do anything. I do wish there was more of an ocean view, but the 1 minute walk down a path to get to the beach was no big deal. I’ll be back!”

“I come here for the yoga, but the grounds around it are really beautiful. There is plenty of green space but I adore the drought tolerant landscaping! It is located in Playa Grande which is pretty far away from everything. If you’re a Cancun person, this is not the place for you. It’s peaceful, serene, friendly, clean and great service. There are two yoga shalas and the instructors are wonderful. Plenty of monkeys, iguanas and other cute animals roam around in the trees nearby. Playa Grande has a different vibe from tamarindo. This is not a tourist trap. The restaurant can be on the expensive side but worth it! The pools are dreamy.”
