Desafortunadamente, debido a la pesca con palangre y la red en alta mar y otros impactos humanos negativos, las tortugas marinas de Playa Grande son casi inexistentes. Se est\u00e1n tomando medidas para proteger a las tortugas marinas si llegan a la costa para anidar, pero es casi imposible eliminar la amenaza que enfrentan lejos de la costa y fuera de la jurisdicci\u00f3n del parque nacional.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Las tortugas la\u00fad, la m\u00e1s grande de todas las especies de tortugas marinas, tambi\u00e9n son las m\u00e1s amenazadas. Sin embargo, Costa Rica es el hogar de varias otras especies, incluida la tortuga marina Olive Ridley m\u00e1s com\u00fan. Durante los meses de la temporada de lluvias, esta considerable especie de tortuga marina regresa a una de las dos playas en Guanacaste en grandes cantidades. Entre julio y noviembre, una vez y a veces dos veces al mes, miles de tortugas marinas de Olive Ridley llegan a la costa entre el amanecer y el amanecer para poner sus huevos. Las arribadas se coordinan alrededor de la luna nueva cuando las noches son m\u00e1s oscuras y las mareas son m\u00e1s peque\u00f1as.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Ostional es un refugio de vida silvestre protegido y es ilegal estar en la playa all\u00ed durante una arribada sin un gu\u00eda certificado. Sin embargo, es f\u00e1cil encontrar uno una vez que llegue all\u00ed o puede hacer una reserva antes de bajar. Tambi\u00e9n puedes tener\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ripjackinn.com\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">el conserje RipJack Inn<\/a>\u00a0organice un recorrido y transporte para usted si no desea conducir hasta all\u00ed, lo que puede ser un poco desalentador si no est\u00e1 acostumbrado a conducir de noche en Costa Rica.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1138\" src=\"https:\/\/ripjackinn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/DSC_0784-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/>\r\n<figcaption>De vuelta al mar<\/figcaption>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Recomiendo llegar justo antes del primer descanso del d\u00eda, que generalmente es alrededor de las 5AM. Los recorridos nocturnos son m\u00e1s populares, pero tener la luz del d\u00eda a tu lado hace que la experiencia sea a\u00fan m\u00e1s m\u00e1gica. Ver miles de tortugas marinas arrastr\u00e1ndose por la playa, cavando sus nidos, poniendo sus huevos y regresando al mar es una experiencia sin igual.
