Fly

Most everyone flies to Costa Rica, and it’s into one of two airports: LIR in Liberia or SJO in San Jose. In order to get the most of your Playa Grande vacation, we encourage our visitors to fly into LIR. SJO is often less expensive than LIR; however, SJO to Playa Grande is often a four to five hour drive. LIR, on the other hand, is only an hour away. Visitors also have the option of flying domestic flights into the Liberia airport.

Shuttle

If you are flying into San Jose and would rather catch a shuttle you can book your tickets at graylinecostarica.com. The public bus only comes into Playa Grande twice a day; 7:00am and 2:00pm

If you would like to arrange a private shuttle please reach out to us at Ripjackinn@gmail.com

When you arrive in Playa Grande follow the signs towards Rip Jack Inn. The specific location is 100 meters to the south of the MINAE office (there is a big turtle statue and a stop sign. Just after passing Matapalo (may or may not be apparent), turn left toward the Tempisque Bridge (also called Puente Amistad de Taiwan) – be watching for the sign. Once you cross the bridge, you continue going straight until you come to a “T” intersection, at which you turn right, toward Nicoya and Tamarindo.
